2008 Spelling Bee

The Ponderosa Lions Annual Spelling was held on March 3rd The following schools participated:  Sierra Elementary, Auberry Elementary, Pine Ridge Elementary, and Foothill Middle School. Each school sent their very best spellers to participate in the event.

Thumbs Up to Bailey Runnells of Auberry Elementary, who was our Number 1 speller that went on to the County Spelling Bee.

Bailey took 2nd in the County for correctly spelling "populace".

She then spelled "curious" and advanced to the State Finals taking place on May 19th in Robert Park, CA.

We'll be crossing our fingers for you, Bailey!
